The Iraq government has lost control of the strategic city of Falluja west of Baghdad say officials and witnesses AlQaeda linked militants now control the south of the city. An Iraqi reporter there says tribesmen allied with alQaeda hold the rest of Falluja. The United States said it would speed up its deliveries of missiles and surveillance drones to Iraq as the Baghdad government battles a resurgence of AlQaeda linked militants. The White House meanwhile dismissed claims that the fighting which has seen militants retake the city of Fallujah was a result of President Barack Obamas.
